Carry on Cleo is the tenth in the long running English comedy series. The early films, such as Carry on Nurse and Carry on Teacher, are genuinely funny. Later ones, including this one, are considerably less so because they descend into buffoonery. Yet there are moments here which will make you burst out laughing. In the story, while the English are living in caves and inventing the square wheel, the Romans are pursuing their libido. One amusing pratfall involves a bar of soap in a public bath.
